We specialize in understanding how to apply Microsoft HoloLens and Windows Mixed Reality (formerly known as Windows Holographic) technologies to our clients' unique business challenges, and identifying their most valuable opportunity spaces. Our passion is creating amazing mixed reality experiences for our clients. While most of our focus today is on the Microsoft HoloLens device, Windows Mixed Reality will power an assortment of devices along the mixed reality spectrum, from augmented reality to virtual reality. We have expertise in Windows Mixed Reality design & development, regardless of the device that is ultimately used for that experience. We’re small enough to be nimble while having the right breadth of skills to provide end-to-end services. And, as a Microsoft agency partner, we are uniquely positioned to bring our expertise to organizations seeking to innovate in this exciting space.

We built the world’s first mixed reality collaboration service, and it is available for licensing and use on custom application development projects. Our Mixed Reality Collaboration Service helps organizations design and build multi-user holographic experiences, allowing people to experience shared holographic material anywhere in the world.
We believe that mixed reality experiences will empower the next generation of collaboration, going far beyond what today’s video conferencing and screen sharing solutions can provide. The Object Theory Mixed Reality Collaboration service includes a number of key features including shared local and remote experiences, customized avatars, audio chat, display of 3D models at tabletop and true scale sizes, and annotations.
This technology was initially developed by Object Theory as part of a custom software development engagement for CDM Smith, which provides lasting and integrated solutions in water, environment, transportation, energy and facilities to public and private clients worldwide. CDM Smith is an early innovator in the area of mixed reality for Virtual Design & Construction (VDC). Object Theory owns the intellectual property to the Mixed Reality Collaboration Service. Since our first project with CDM Smith, we have licensed this technology to other clients for use.
